The Works Minister told TEMESA staff they need to stop being lazy and taking bribes. He met with them in Dodoma and said these bad habits could hurt all the good things they've done.
Mr Ulega wants TEMESA to be the best at fixing cars, both for the government and regular people. He said they must fight hard against workers who don't care about their jobs or who take money they shouldn't.
This was his first time meeting the TEMESA team since he became minister. He liked their new plan to work with private companies when they needed help. He told them they should show people that when someone pays them, they'll do the job fast.
He was happy with some groups like the Bank of Tanzania and TANESCO. They pay what they owe and get quick service back. He wants other government offices to sign deals with TEMESA to help clear up their money problems.
The minister talked about how President Samia's team spent lots of money on boats. They built six new ones and fixed seven old ones. They also improved the places where boats stop near Lake Victoria and the ocean.
Mr Ulega liked how they're fixing car shops all over Tanzania. But he said the workers need to think creatively and use better tools to do their jobs well.
Dr Charles Msonde thinks all the offices in the Works Ministry should help each other. He says this would improve things for everyone in Tanzania.
