MMicSim reshapes your mic game, phase fixers rejoice

MeldaProduction pushed version 17.07 of its plugin bundle with MMicSim, a new mic simulation tool, and the final release of MTrackAlign for phase correction. MMicSim converts your existing mic signal into profiles from over 100 vintage and modern models using tech from MMatcher instead of basic EQ matching. The company recorded every mic in an anechoic chamber with custom dynamic sweeps to capture how hardware responds across different levels and frequencies rather than slapping on static filters.

The plugin gives you a smoothness knob set to 20 percent by default to handle spectral issues and resonances, plus a dry/wet control for dialing in how much processing you want. MTrackAlign left beta with this update and auto-fixes phase cancellation when you have multiple mics on the same source, like drum kits or guitar cabs.

The update also threw in two new instruments for MSoundFactory users: a granular-layered hybrid piano and a lead synth aimed at guitar-style tones. MMicSim launches at 19 euros before jumping to the regular 79 euro price, and you can grab a 15-day trial.
