Zimbabwe President Mnangagwa removed General Anselem Nhamo Sanyatwa from his army leadership position. The general served as the right-hand man to Vice President Constantino Chiwenga before this change. Mnangagwa then placed Sanyatwa directly into the Sports Minister role instead. Many believe this quick job switch aims to prevent possible military unrest against the government.
