Mnangagwa puts Sanyatwe in charge of sports

President Mnangagwa just picked a military man for a new job. He made Lieutenant General Anselem Sanyatwe the head of sports and arts. This happened yesterday at the big white building where presidents work in Harare. Everyone watched as Sanyatwe promised to serve Zimbabwe well.

Both second-in-command leaders came to see the ceremony. Dr. Constantino Chiwenga stood next to Mr. Kembo Mohadi as they witnessed the event. Many important government people filled the room. They clapped when Sanyatwe finished his oath.

Sanyatwe used to command soldiers before he retired from army life. He takes over because the last minister left for an international position. Kirsty Coventry moved up in the sports world recently. She became the big boss at the Olympic Games headquarters.

The retired general thanked the president for trusting him with culture and recreation duties. He promised to help athletes win more medals for Zimbabwe. Sports teams across the country wait to meet their new leader. Many wonder what changes might happen under military leadership of arts programs.
