Modi flaunts India-made AK-203 Sher rifles at UP trade show

Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed the Uttar Pradesh International Trade Show 2025 on Thursday. He emphasized India's resilient growth amid global uncertainties and stressed the nation's path toward self-reliance. Modi highlighted the strengthened partnership with Russia, the event's country partner. The Prime Minister promoted the Make in India initiative, spanning from chips to ships.

Modi announced the imminent delivery of India's first fully indigenous AK-203 assault rifles to the Army. The rifles, manufactured through Indo-Russian collaboration in Amethi, represent superior technology compared to earlier models. He urged citizens to maintain high quality standards for domestic products. The trade show runs through September 29 at India Expo Centre, expecting 2,400 exhibitors and 125,000 business visitors.
