Morogoro just locked down a fat water deal worth about 81.41 billion shillings.
Minister Jumaa Aweso showed up to watch the contract get inked, and he brought backup with Regional Commissioner Adam Malima and Engineer Mwajuma Waziri from the water ministry. Local residents packed the signing ceremony at the Municipal Council to see this thing go down. The money's going toward cleaning up the water supply and getting it flowing to more households across town.

The Morogoro Urban Water Supply and Sanitation Authority is pushing through improvements valued at around 200 billion shillings in total.
