A fire broke out at a car parked in the Afimall shopping center on Presnenskaya Embankment in Moscow. The Russian Emergencies Ministry reported the incident as flames engulfed the vehicle. People nearby heard loud bangs before seeing the flames. Emergency services arrived at the scene quickly. The fire spread to construction materials stored close to the car.
Officials first thought the car had exploded. Later, the investigation revealed that three fuel cylinders had burst due to pressure changes. The blast caused nearby building materials to catch fire, damaging approximately 30 square meters. No one suffered injuries during this incident.
This comes after a previous shopping center fire on April 12. A thirteen-year-old started that blaze at the Elysium mall in Nakhabino settlement. Reports suggest the teenager acted under instructions from Ukrainian scammers. That fire burned through about 100 square meters near a bank branch. Both incidents ended without any harm to people.
