Felix Kwakye Ofosu, who handles government communications, says Rev. John Ntim Fordjour might face arrest if he keeps dodging calls from the National Intelligence Bureau. Ofosu spoke on Eyewitness News last Friday. He shot down Fordjour's claim that he never got an invite from NIB. The truth is that NIB sent the request through his boss, Alexander Afenyo-Markin.
At first, Afenyo-Markin said he would help with the process. Later, he changed his story, saying Fordjour talked as a Defense Committee member, not just as himself. But this excuse didn't stick. Ofosu made it clear that NIB has asked the Speaker to release Fordjour for questioning. He said flatly that if Fordjour refused to show up, they would arrest him and make him back up his wild stories.
Ofosu slammed Fordjour for claiming two planes brought drugs and dirty money into Ghana. He called these claims childish lies with zero proof behind them. An MP should never spread such fake tales, he argued. Fordjour could have shown evidence if he had any, but he didn't.
The Minister believes Fordjour has dragged down serious parliamentary work by making empty accusations just for political show. These baseless claims have stirred up trouble across the political scene. Security agencies have started looking more closely at what Fordjour said, adding heat to an already tense situation between these political figures.
