Mponda rages as Bullets humiliated by Civo Service United in Lilongwe

Peter Mponda refuses to panic after his FCB Nyasa Big Bullets squad stumbled against Civo Service United at Lilongwe. The manager brushed off the 2-1 defeat and insisted setbacks like these were always going to happen during the campaign. Mponda reminded supporters that chasing the league crown remains the ultimate goal despite Saturday's disappointment. The boss admitted his players failed to reach their normal levels during the clash at Civo Stadium. Civo Service United earned every bit of their victory through pure determination and hard work.

John Dambuleni put the home side ahead just three minutes after halftime to silence the visiting fans. Ephraim Kondowe brought Bullets level eight minutes later with a well-taken strike that restored hope. Moses Banda crushed those dreams by firing Civo back into the lead and securing all three points. The defeat marked a rare stumble for the league leaders who had been cruising through most fixtures. Bullets supporters watched their team struggle to create clear chances against stubborn defensive work.

The result sees Bullets maintain their position at the summit with 27 points from 11 league outings. Civo Service United climbed three places up the table after collecting their crucial victory. The hosts jumped from 14th position to 11th place with 13 points banked from their efforts. Mponda emphasized that perfection was never realistic across an entire season of football. The manager expects his squad to bounce back stronger when they return to action.
