MPs Stage Grand Board Power Grab at SIC Insurance

SIC Insurance PLC picked fresh faces for their top team this week. The company brought Bernard Ahiafor on board as their new chairman. Ahiafor already works as First Deputy Speaker of Parliament and represents Akatsi South. Justice Afi Agbanu Kudonor made everything official during a Monday ceremony. The swearing happened at their main office called Nyemetei House located right here in Accra.

Six other heavy hitters joined Ahiafor on the new board. Dr. Abena Nyarkoa Asomaning stepped up to help guide the company forward. Daniel Amasah Kotey and retired Major Ben Donkor also grabbed seats at the table. Two more parliament members rounded out the group. David Theophilus Dominic Vondee represents Twifo-Atii Morkwaa and Emmanuel Kofi Ntekuni speaks for Pru West.

Ahiafor promised President John Dramani Mahama that his team would deliver results. The new chairman told shareholders and all Ghanaians that profits would climb under their watch. Market share growth became their main target for the coming months. Each board member brings years of experience from finance and insurance backgrounds. Their combined skills should push SIC toward the front of the pack.

James Agyenim-Boateng moved from acting boss to full Managing Director during the same ceremony. The company leader talked about rebuilding their position as market champions. Better service for customers topped his priority list. Strong leadership and smart decisions would help them compete against rival insurance companies.
