MSI lines up Ryzen 7 9850X3D and flexes new board

PC enthusiasts just found a new way to burn cash on hardware. MSI confirmed support for the AMD Ryzen 7 9850X3D on AM5 platforms. This Zen 5 chip features eight cores alongside one hundred four megabytes of total cache. It hits five point six gigahertz speeds while consuming one hundred twenty watts. Builders hope this upgrade handles heavy gaming loads without crashing.

The company also dropped the MEG X870E UNIFY-X MAX during CES 2026. This board caters to overclockers through a dedicated two-slot memory layout. An eighteen-phase power design feeds the system while advanced heat pipes keep temps down. It includes Wi-Fi 7 and fast LAN ports for anyone needing low latency.

A physical Tuning Controller lets users tweak settings instantly. The Click BIOS X software offers tools like Latency Killer to squeeze out extra frames. MSI added a sixty-four megabyte BIOS chip to ensure future compatibility. Firmware updates will arrive soon to stabilize the new processor.
