Zimbabwean officials condemn Israeli actions in Gaza where UN figures show over 65,000 Palestinians killed and hundreds shot while seeking aid.

The government maintains economic ties with Israel despite public solidarity statements creating tension between liberation era commitments and current policy. Palestinian Ambassador Tamer Almassri seeks broader support beyond the ruling party while activists demand Zimbabwe leverage African Union and UN positions to protect aid corridors. Former Foreign Minister Frederick Shava calls blocking humanitarian assistance and shooting civilians illegal under international law.
