A Ugandan striker is packing his bags for a new club in North Africa. Steven Desse Mukwala completed a transfer to Libyan side Al-Nasser SC, signing a two-year deal. The move follows his departure from Tanzanian club Simba SC, where playing time became limited.
Mukwala brings experience from stints with several Ugandan clubs like Vipers SC and KCCA FC, plus a productive period in Ghana with Asante Kotoko. He is also a regular fixture for the Uganda Cranes national team. Al-Nasser hopes his pace and versatility will strengthen their attack.
In other transfer news, forward John Paul Dembe moved to Czech club Sigma Olomouc from Swedish side BK Hacken. Midfielder Titus Ssematimba joined Nairobi United in Kenya, reuniting with former teammates from his previous club.
