Museveni warns after the Butambala clash leaves seven dead

Seven bodies dropped in Butambala while the big man celebrated his win at home. President Museveni accepted the victory scroll at his Rwakitura estate while trashing Muwanga Kivumbi's crew. The head of state insists security squads flattened armed thugs who tried rushing a polling station with machetes after their guy lost the local race to Eriasa Mukiibi. He labeled these opposition figures as terrorists masquerading as politicians.

Kivumbi paints a totally different picture of the bloodshed. The National Unity Platform member claims operatives kicked down his door and executed campaign staff right inside the residence while counting happened elsewhere. Footage apparently reveals bullet impacts on the walls, supporting his theory that hitmen were actually hunting him personally during the raid.

Lydia Tumushabe, representing the Katonga region cops, shut down that home invasion story immediately. Law enforcement argues they were defending a tally center from aggressive mobs. Officials maintain the lethal force was strictly for keeping order against extremists backed by outsiders. The veteran leader issued a final caution to anyone acting wild, telling them to quit the violence or face consequences.
