Following its recent national conference in Mutare, the ZANU-PF party has initiated a provincial program to explain its resolution to extend President Emmerson Mnangagwa's term to 2030. The party's Manicaland province held a coordinating committee meeting at Marymount Teachers' College to plan inter-district meetings for conveying this decision to grassroots members.
ZANU-PF Treasurer-General Patrick Chinamasa stated that the government and parliament would now handle the legal process for implementing the term extension. He urged party unity on the resolution. Manicaland provincial chairman Tawanda Mukodza emphasized that all members must support the unanimously adopted decision.
Provincial political commissar Albert Nyakuedzwa confirmed that feedback programs are underway across the province, with some districts having already held meetings. A Buhera district official reported that over 3,000 people attended their session about the conference resolutions.
