Mutua flags fake AI photo making rounds online

Alfred Mutua is currently dealing with a messy AI deepfake that looks totally cursed. This Labor and Social Protection Cabinet Secretary flagged a bogus photo showing him in a weirdly submissive spot, which is basically a complete hallucination. While the leader William Ruto speaks, the fake snap makes it look like Mutua is kneeling atop the platform.

Actually, the real version shows both guys just standing normally at a public gig. Mutua dropped a comparison post to show how tech bros manipulated his body, and he thinks the public should stop sharing fake trash. Across Kenya, this digital chaos is getting way worse lately, which makes the whole situation pretty annoying for everyone.

While Mutua fights the trolls, William Kabogo is pushing fresh legal updates for the digital space. These recent changes to the Computer Misuse and Cybercrimes Act try to catch up with how much the internet has changed. Kabogo thinks the old rules from years ago are basically useless against modern threats that ruin the vibe.

The new framework targets nasty stuff like identity theft, crypto scams, and those creepy deepfakes. Some people worry these laws might kill free speech or silence critics online, but Information Cabinet Secretary William Kabogo claims the rules won't touch satire or regular political talk. The state just wants to stop harassment and serious crime through these updates.
