Nairobi Water Tells Residents to Use Hotline for Project Help

Nairobi City Water company wants residents of Utawala, Mihango, Kamulu, and Ngundu to call their hotline about the Eastern water improvement project. They posted this request on social media to help answer questions faster. People can reach them at +254 799 816 267 with any concerns. The water agency aims for smooth communication during construction work.

Anyone applying for water services needs several documents, including identification, proof of land ownership, a tax certificate, and a photo. The project brings new water lines to multiple neighborhoods across eastern Nairobi. It includes laying 220 kilometers of water pipes and installing nearly 2,000 household meters. The sewerage part adds 47 kilometers of pipes and connects 1,400 homes.

These improvements serve areas like Embakasi, Maili Saba, Ruai, Umoja, Tassia, and Kariobangi. The upgrades help meet the city's growing demand. The company handles both water supply and sewage treatment throughout Nairobi County. This project makes basic services available to previously underserved communities.
