Zimbabwe launched computer training courses for residents of Guruve North constituency. The Ministry of ICT taught basic digital skills to 250 local people during a recent five-day program. Students learned how to use Microsoft Word, Excel spreadsheets, PowerPoint presentations, and internet browsing. Many participants had never used computers before taking these classes. The government provided certificates to everyone who completed the training successfully.
Trainees gained valuable knowledge about creating documents and making professional presentations. One student discovered that PowerPoint helps with marketing and business advertising. Another person wanted to use the certificate when applying for jobs. The courses helped people of different ages develop important workplace skills. Disabled community members also joined the training sessions.
