Naveen Kasturia feared playing dad in Adarsh Baal Vidyalaya

Naveen Kasturia just admitted the father role scared him way more than the counsellor gig, and honestly, that vulnerability hits. In Adarsh Baal Vidyalaya, he plays Mukul, a school counsellor juggling workplace emotional weight and a shaky bond with the girl he's raising. Not being a dad off-screen made that headspace feel entirely foreign.

He also flagged that acting opposite kids threw him off because they're raw and completely unfiltered on set. The core tension revolves around Mukul wanting to be his daughter's friend while both of them fumble through conversations they can't quite have, and Kasturia called those quiet, unspoken beats the hardest and most rewarding material he's tackled.

The seven-episode comedy-drama lands on Prime Video later this month, directed by Himank Gaur and backed by Biswapati Sarkar and Sameer Saxena under Posham Pa Pictures. Kay Kay Menon, Archana Puran Singh, and Deven Bhojani round out a stacked ensemble.
