NDL Season Blasts into Mchinji with K15m Cash

The NBS National Division League starts May 24 in Mchinji with Villa United facing Mitundu Baptist at the Community Centre Ground. The Football Association of Malawi paired with NBS Bank to create fresh chances for players across the country. FAM President Fleetwood Haiya meets with NBS Bank Chief Operating Officer Shadrick Chikusilo at Mpira Village to prepare for the season. They both see the league as key to making Malawi football better through more teams competing.

NBS Bank puts K982 million into the league for three years of matches between teams. The league brings together 12 teams from regional leagues, with three teams that moved down from the Super League last season. FAM recently decided that teams will receive K15 million instead of K7.5 million as starting money for the season. This money helps teams travel to games throughout the year. The top three teams from this league will move up to the Super League next season.
