Neumann RIME 1.5 update drops, immersive mixing goes deeper

Neumann just pushed out version 1.5 of their RIME plugin, and it's loaded with upgrades for anyone running their NDH 20 or NDH 30 cans. The update brings better bass response across all speakers, sharper transients for mixing decisions, and 3DOF head tracking that follows your noggin movements. They also tossed in support for 5.1 and 7.1.2 formats, plus expanded the ambience controls for more room vibe tweaking.

Other additions include peak-aligned output to keep levels below 0 dBFS, loudness-matched bypass for comparing binaural and downmixed signals, and quick solo or mute buttons for horizontal and height channels. Mac users can also run RIME as a standalone app outside their DAW. The plugin works on Windows 10 and up or macOS 10.15 and higher, and existing users get the update for free while new licenses run about a hundred bucks.
