New ZiG Notes to Revive Zimbabwe's Financial Stability

Zimbabwe wants to make better money that people can use more easily. Their bank will change the look of their ZiG money to make it stronger. This will help everyone who buys and sells things in Zimbabwe.

People started using ZiG money last April. It worked well, but some people said the small money notes became dirty and torn very fast. The ZiG10 and ZiG20 notes would break and fade, which made it hard for people to pay for things.

Banks need money that stays nice and clean. When money becomes old and torn, banks must spend a lot of money to make new notes. Shop owners said they had trouble counting the torn money, which made people worry about using it.

The bank listened to what everyone said about the money. Dr John Mushayavanhu, who runs the bank, asked many people what they thought before making these changes. He wants everyone to trust the new money and feel happy using it.

The bank told everyone it was not making new types of money. It just wants to strengthen and improve the same ZiG notes. Many other countries make their money better all the time. The United States fixes its money to stop people from making fake copies.

Better money helps everyone save time and money. When money stays strong and clean, people like using it more. Banks spend less money replacing old notes. Shops can count money faster, and customers feel happy using nice, clean notes.

Many countries use special plastic to make their money. This plastic money lasts longer than paper money and helps save trees. Plastic can be made into new things when it becomes old. Zimbabwe might use this special plastic for their new money.

Zimbabwe wants to improve its money system. Soon, it plans to issue new, stronger money notes, which will make buying and selling things easier for everyone.
