Niger mourns Galadima Raban Nupe, Bago aide, dies

Niger State chieftaincy coordinator Alhaji Gimba Abubakar died Saturday morning following a brief medical emergency. The Galadima Raban Nupe served under Governor Mohammed Umar Bago before his unexpected passing. Family members reported that Abubakar appeared healthy Friday and traveled independently to medical facilities Saturday. His death surprised relatives who received notification after his hospital arrival.

Governor Bago expressed condolences through Chief Press Secretary Bologi Ibrahim to the bereaved family and Etsu Nupe. The deceased official leaves behind three wives and multiple children during his early fifties. Bago characterized Abubakar as a principled administrator committed to proper governance. The governor praised his dedication to traditional leadership responsibilities throughout his service period.
