Nigeria's 3MTT trains 135K tech talents, eyes scale-up

Nigeria's huge tech training push is already racking up big numbers. The country's Three Million Technical Talent program has already put over a hundred thirty-five thousand people through training. Communications Minister Dr. Bosun Tijani shared the update, noting community resources have reached more than three hundred thousand learners nationwide. The initiative also created around fifteen thousand job pathways so far.

Over one point eight million people are currently in the program's pipeline. The goal remains to equip three million citizens with digital skills for the labor market. As the effort moves beyond its first stage, the focus shifts to deepening impact. Priorities include strengthening the alumni network and expanding access to real economic opportunities.

The next phase aims to turn learned skills into actual jobs, new businesses, and innovation. Minister Tijani invited fellows and partners to share their stories through an impact challenge. This national reflection seeks insights into how the program changed personal and professional journeys. The government wants to ensure training translates into tangible outcomes for Nigeria's digital economy.
