Nitesh Rane says Awhad abuses Dharma to appease jihadists

Maharashtra Minister Nitesh Rane criticized NCP-SP leader Jitendra Awhad following controversial statements about Sanatan Dharma. The minister accused Awhad of engaging in appeasement politics to satisfy specific voter groups. Rane claimed Awhad represents a constituency that serves as a jihadist headquarters. He questioned why Hindu politicians attack their faith while members of other religions refrain from such behavior. The minister challenged senior NCP-SP leaders Sharad Pawar and Supriya Sule to reveal their positions on Awhad's comments.

Rane addressed recent violence in Yavat, Pune, asserting that Hindus never initiate riots. He suggested that troublemakers share a common identity, referring to the color green. The minister promised that the Hindutva government would handle violent elements with strict measures. Political tensions continue rising as both sides demand action and clarification. The controversy has sparked broader debates about religious discourse and electoral strategies across Maharashtra.
