Olaloye Olatunde missing after hotel stay for Akure training event

Authorities investigate the vanishing of Olaloye Olatunde from a hotel in Akure, Ondo State capital. The man had arrived from Owo on August 24 to attend a Child Labour training program. Trace Project Akure and Charakids Foundation organized the week-long event at Sunview Hotel in the Alagbaka area. The program drew 56 participants for the educational sessions.

Family members spoke with Olatunde from Monday through Wednesday before losing contact. His mobile phone remained unreachable when relatives attempted calls on Friday, August 29. The man's spouse alerted authorities after communication ceased completely. Hotel staff discovered his personal items, clothing, and footwear remained untouched in his assigned room.

Popular broadcaster Omo Edema shared details about the case through social media posts. Other training participants had completed checkout procedures and departed the premises. Police spokesman Alayande Olushola verified that officials received the missing person report. Law enforcement continues examining the sudden disappearance.
