Ondo Police Go After Motor Park Drug Peddlers

Police in Ondo State began fighting drug dealers at bus stops and transport areas. Commissioner Wilfred Afolabi met with community leaders after cult violence killed people in recent weeks. The meeting helped police learn about crime problems from local residents. People blamed politicians for giving weapons to young people during elections. Youth leaders said officers arrest innocent people and demand money for release.

Community members want security cameras at hotels and transport hubs. They asked lawmakers to provide patrol cars and motorcycles for police work. Commercial drivers complained about drug trafficking causing fights at their workplaces. Some people want new rules to control waste collectors who cause trouble. Police promised to work with local hunters and volunteer groups.

Afolabi gave residents his phone number to report suspicious activities. He promised to keep information secret from anyone who calls. Local government leaders praised the police chief for meeting with citizens. The commissioner plans stronger patrols across three affected areas. Community leaders agreed to stay alert and follow laws in their neighborhoods.
