Orange Line Chaos as Passenger Plunges into Tracks

A person fell onto subway tracks at Gorny Institut metro station during regular service hours. The St. Petersburg subway announced this incident through their official Telegram channel. People who saw what happened said the victim could not climb back up alone. Metro workers rushed to help the fallen passenger right away. They guided the person to safety away from the dangerous rail area.

Subway officials stopped all orange line trains because of the emergency situation. Service ended between Spasskaya station and Gorny Institute during the rescue effort. The shutdown lasted exactly ten minutes as crews worked to help the victim. No trains could move through that section during the emergency response. Workers needed time to make sure the tracks were clear and safe again.

Metro operations returned to normal after the rescue finished completely. All orange line trains started running their regular schedules again. Passengers could travel the full route without any delays or problems. The subway system resumed normal service levels across the entire network. Officials confirmed everything was working properly after the incident ended.
