Oreo cuts sugar not taste, bag’s got sweet secrets

Oreo just dropped a legit sugar-free cookie, hitting shelves in January with both Original and Double Stuf versions going permanent. The Zero Sugar variety swaps regular sweeteners for maltitol, polydextrose, sucralose, and acesulfame potassium while ditching aspartame completely, and it comes in resealable pouches with individually wrapped two-cookie packs instead of the usual tray setup.

Mondelez says the reformulation targets Americans cutting back on sugar, who normally skip sandwich cookies entirely. The whole thing banks on delivering the same Oreo experience without the carbs, but whether Reddit snack fiends actually vibe with the taste remains the real test once it drops nationwide.
