Panganai Java entered the world on October 29, 1987, and grew up in Seke Chitungwiza with parents Christine and Charles. People call him Twabam or Prophet Passion. He married Lily Tsegaye from Ethiopia in 2016 after divorcing Prophetess Yasmin in 2015. He shares a son named Uebert with Yasmin, plus three more sons with Lily: Lemuel, Raphael, and Uriel.
Passion started his religious path at Tabernacles of Grace under his brother Apostle B Java before launching the Kingdom Embassy in 2010 at Chitungwiza Aquatic Complex. He grabbed public attention when he correctly guessed phone numbers and ID numbers during church services. His fame grew in 2013 after claiming he performed a miracle abortion on a four-month-pregnant woman. That same year, he created Kingdom TV with ViewSat Limited from the UK. Later, he changed his church name to Passion Java Ministries.
He wrote many books about his spiritual ideas including "Prophetic Secrets," "The Ministry of Angels," "Manifesting Your Dream World," "Fourteen Types of Angels," "Dimensions of Curses," and "The Power Of Interpretation." These books discuss prophecy, angels, goal setting, curse breaking, and dream interpretation based on his personal beliefs.
Passion Java began helping Zimdancehall musicians in 2018, working with artists like Enzo Ishall and Roki and producers such as Levelz. Two music collections—Prophet Passion Riddim and Passion Java Riddim—featuring numerous Zimbabwean artists came out in 2019. He built a professional recording studio called Passion Java Records with top-quality equipment and soundproofing.
His fancy car collection includes a Lamborghini Aventador, Rolls Royce, Maserati Levante, Lamborghini Urus, and Range Rover. Reports say he spent over $500,000 on two Range Rovers and a Jaguar. He also bought a helicopter, bragging on social media that he fulfilled a dream.
Critics attack Passion for his flashy lifestyle and wealth displays. Journalists like Hopewell Chin'ono slam his social media influence. He caused outrage over a massive bar tab reaching 1.3 million South African rand (about $85,000) at a restaurant in Pretoria. In March 2022, Leshaan Da Gama claimed she had a secret affair with him. Instead of denying it, Passion seemed proud about impregnating her and referenced biblical examples of men with multiple wives.
Some people accuse him of supporting the ZANU-PF party because he hangs around party officials and praises President Emmerson Mnangagwa. In 2019, he threw a big birthday bash for Mnangagwa attended by important ZANU-PF members. Yet Passion denies supporting any political group, calling himself just "a friend" of Mnangagwa. He has criticized the ZANU-PF government at times and says he speaks against injustice.
A fight broke out between Passion and Prophet Makandiwa in November 2023 after a BBC documentary about TB Joshua aired. Makandiwa expressed concerns about TB Joshua's methods, which offended Passion, who considered TB Joshua a close associate. Passion made several public statements attacking Makandiwa, though these focused on differing views rather than personal insults. The argument died down after a few weeks without any formal apologies.
Passion held his Night of Wonders event on February 7, 2024, at the City Sports Centre in Harare. Thousands attended to hear religious sermons, enjoy music performances by South African DJ Tira and Zimbabwean musician Jah Prayzah, and witness prophecies. Supporters praised the positive messages and inspiring atmosphere. Critics questioned spending large amounts of money during economic hardship and doubted his prophetic claims. The event sparked major media coverage across Zimbabwe.
