PDP Aide Mocks Tinubu as AWOLOKAN After Sneaky Return

Atiku Abubakar's media helper, Paul Ibe, aimed at President Bola Tinubu after he returned from France. Ibe said people should stop calling Tinubu "Emi Lokan" but "AWOL lo Kan" instead. He wrote on X that a friend told him Tinubu arrived in Nigeria two days ago on a working visit. He added that the person formerly known as Emilokan should be called A.W.O.L. lo Kan.

Tinubu returned to Nigeria on Monday following his French trip. His plane landed at the presidential area of Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport in Abuja at 9:00 p.m., where top officials greeted him. The Presidency had earlier stated that Tinubu would return home after Easter holidays. Some Nigerians worried about his absence during security problems across the country.

During Tinubu's time away, terrorists attacked Plateau, Borno, and Benue states, killing many people. Presidential spokesperson Onanuga claimed the President stayed informed about Nigerian situations throughout his absence. The President left Nigeria for France on April 2 on a short working visit. Tinubu met with the United States Department of State's Senior Advisor for Africa, Massad Boulos, during his two-week Paris stay.
