Pitso defends Broos but pleads for Mbokazi’s potential

A fuss around the South African team kicked off after coach Hugo Broos went off about a young player, Mfundo Vilakazi Mbokazi. Broos questioned the kid's professional drive and publicly called out his agent. This got worse when reports said Mbokazi showed up late for the national camp.

For Broos, being on time is a basic sign of respect, so his anger made sense to plenty of people. But the whole thing blew up into a bigger national argument about handling young talent. Fans fought online over whether the coach was too harsh or just enforcing standards. Pitso Mosimane eventually stepped in with a more measured take.

Mosimane first agreed with Broos on the discipline point. He said being late shows disrespect to the national setup and that camp schedules are sacred. Still, he urged everyone to remember Mbokazi is just a kid who needs some space to learn. People should maybe chill on the hate until the full story is out. He admitted the player has made some emotional errors on the field but insisted his talent is real.

Pitso really talked up Mbokazi's potential, calling him a top player and an icon in his region. The message was clear: the discipline needs work, but you do not throw away a future star over one incident. The kid's skill is obvious, and his career should not be derailed.
