Authorities conducted a noon operation against a suspected online gambling facility operating from the 23rd floor of a Jalan Kia Peng building. The Vice, Gambling and Corrupt Practices Crime Investigation Division collaborated with Dang Wangi district headquarters during the Op Dadu enforcement action. Officers detained thirteen suspects comprising eight Malaysian men, three Malaysian women, and two Chinese citizens.
Acting Kuala Lumpur police chief Datuk Mohamed Usuf Jan Mohamad confirmed the syndicate had targeted Indonesian customers since April. Workers received monthly compensation between RM3,000 and RM4,000 for their participation in the scheme. The operation maintained business hours from 11am until 8pm each day.
