Private schools across Malawi started mock tests today for students who will take national exams later this year. These practice tests run through May 8 and help students prepare for the real Malawi School Certificate of Education exams. The Private Schools Association created these tests to match what students face during official testing periods.
Ernest Kaonga leads the association and wants all students to take part. He believes these practice runs teach students about time limits and show them what they need to study more. The group did similar practice tests for primary school children before their Leaving Certificate exams. Teachers plan to make this an annual event for schools.
