PSG signs El Idrissi only to bury him deep in their reserves

European and Middle Eastern clubs have accelerated their pursuit of Moroccan football talent during this transfer period. Rayo Vallecano secured Yahya Bourjila from Rayo Alcobendas with a four-year agreement for their youth academy. The defender appeared in 32 matches last season while accumulating 11 yellow cards and one goal. Paris Saint-Germain acquired Mohamed Amin El Idrissi after his Amiens contract expired. The 20-year-old versatile player will begin with the reserve squad before potential first-team integration.

Al-Shahania completed a two-year deal for Jawad Al-Jamili following his departure from Bulgarian side Levski Sofia. The Qatari club aims to improve upon its seventh-place finish through strategic acquisitions. El Idrissi demonstrates flexibility across multiple positions from defensive to attacking roles. These signings reflect broader recognition of Moroccan players' technical abilities across different leagues. The transfers position these athletes for upcoming international competitions such as the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations and the 2026 World Cup.
