PSL Weekend Goalless Drama Has Fans Fuming

Only two teams won games during the weekend matches in the Castle Lager Premier Soccer League. Herentals beat GreenFuel 1-0 on Friday at Rufaro Stadium. CAPS United grabbed a 1-0 win against Yadah. The other six matches all ended in ties. Coach Paul Benza felt happy that his Herentals team finally scored a goal after struggling to find the net earlier this season.

The top match between Simba Bhora and MWOS finished 0-0 in Shamva. MWOS stayed in first place with 18 points, three more than Simba Bhora. Both coaches seemed pleased with sharing one point each. CAPS United coach Lloyd Chitembwe arrived late and let his assistant run things from the sideline. Rodwell Chinyengetere scored with a header to give CAPS the win.

Highlanders held TelOne to a 1-1 draw in Gweru. Bikita Minerals also tied 1-1 with champions Ngezi Platinum at Gibbo. Chelsea Nyakope scored for Bikita before Takunda Benhura evened things for Ngezi. Dynamos continued having trouble scoring as they tied 0-0 with Kwekwe United. ZPC Kariba against Scotland and Manica Diamonds against Chicken Inn also ended without a winner.
