PSPaudioware Unveils BussPressor v2.0.0 with Redesigned GUI

PSPaudioware unveiled PSP BussPressor v2.0.0 yesterday, marking a significant update to the popular audio compression tool. The company has completely redesigned the graphical user interface, offering users a fresh aesthetic and enhanced usability for professional audio production.

The latest iteration introduces several technical improvements, including high-frequency sidechain emphasis for more precise audio control and FAT quad-sampling technology that delivers richer sound quality. Engineers will appreciate the refined sidechain high-pass filter, which operates without frequency steps, alongside step-less gain, threshold, and makeup knobs that provide smoother control during mixing sessions.

Audio professionals can access expertly crafted presets from industry veterans Enrico De Paoli and Oleg "Yorshoff" Yershov. These carefully designed settings allow producers to enhance their productions immediately with professional-grade compression characteristics. The company has also addressed minor bugs and improved stability across various operating systems.

Existing users can purchase the update for $9.99, which PSPaudioware describes as a symbolic fee that helps cover nearly 15 years of maintenance and code improvements. New customers will pay the full price of $99. The company noted that although the new version maintains backward compatibility with previous iterations, users must complete a fresh iLok authorization process to activate the software.
