Quickmart apologises, suspends staff after Buruburu assault

Quickmart Supermarket apologized after a customer service incident at its Buruburu location gained widespread social media attention. The company suspended employees and began investigating the matter with authorities. Two customers purchased milk using the store's ATM system and collected their order after receiving a receipt. Staff members later questioned the customers about their purchase and cancelled their receipt.

The situation escalated when employees took the customers to a receiving area where physical altercations occurred. Store personnel accused the pair of stealing 57 liters of milk despite their single-liter purchase. The customers' father arrived and refused to pay for the alleged missing inventory before reporting the incident to police.

Quickmart emphasized its commitment to respectful customer treatment and safe shopping environments. The retailer contacted the affected customers directly to provide support and apologies. Management stated the company conducts regular staff training to maintain service standards.
