Bangladesh Cricket Board announced Saturday that Abdur Razzak resigned from his national selector position. The former left-arm spinner plans to seek a director role in upcoming board elections. Cricket Operations Department Manager Jamaluddin Babu confirmed receiving the resignation letter before Razzak obtained nomination forms from the election commission.

The ex-international cricketer represents Khulna Divisional Sports Association in his electoral bid. Several former players collected nomination papers when distribution began at 10 a.m. Saturday. Candidates must submit completed forms Sunday between 10 a.m. and 5 p.m.
