RPCS3 emulator now plays most PS3 games with little hassle

The PC master race keeps winning as PlayStation 3 emulation hits a god-tier milestone unnoticed. RPCS3 currently runs seven out of every ten titles without massive headaches or game-breaking bugs. A quick look at the compatibility tracker shows the vast majority of the library handles playable framerates easily. That represents a huge leap from years back, when barely half the catalog worked properly.

Stat nerds can see that roughly 26.59% of the library boots but suffer from lag or crashes before the finish line. A meager 3% dies at the intro sequence, and practically zero games fail to start completely. Those numbers prove the volunteers behind this project are absolutely crushing development.

Device support has been growing since the software recently hit Windows-on-Arm64 setups, previously a Linux-exclusive perk. You can run this beast on macOS, Linux, or Windows, regardless of whether the rig uses Arm64 or x64 architecture. The latest patch even lets users load disc backups straight from ISOs, making everything smoother.
