Interior Cabinet Secretary Kipchumba Murkomen attended the dedication ceremony for a new sanctuary at the Church of Uganda in Kapchorwa. The event celebrated Bishop Paul Kiptoo Masaba's decade of episcopal leadership in the Diocese of Sebei. President William Ruto provided financial support for the sanctuary construction alongside Ugandan President Yoweri Museveni. Murkomen delivered a vehicle gift from Ruto to recognize the bishop's community service.
The ceremony highlighted strengthened diplomatic relations between the neighboring countries. Murkomen emphasized enhanced security cooperation, expanded trade partnerships and peacekeeping efforts. These initiatives build upon agreements signed by both presidents during July meetings. The Kenyan delegation included Nandi Governor Stephen Sang, Trans Nzoia Senator Allan Chesang and Mogotio MP Reuben Kiborek among other officials.
