Samsung kills Secure Wi-Fi in new One UI 8.5

Samsung is preparing enhancements for its upcoming One UI 8.5 software release, which addresses persistent connectivity problems plaguing Galaxy device users. The technology company develops artificial intelligence features designed to eliminate network disruptions during video communications and gaming sessions. Real-Time Data Priority Mode prevents background application updates from interfering with active tasks requiring stable connections. These improvements target frustrating experiences users encounter with frozen video chats and interrupted gaming sessions.

Two intelligent connectivity features will automate network management for Galaxy devices. Intelligent Link Assessment monitors wireless signal strength and activates mobile data when wireless connections weaken. Intelligent Network Switch examines historical connection patterns and preemptively switches networks before signal degradation occurs. The update removes Secure wireless features without clarification regarding permanence.
