Sanbra Hotel breakfast rush turns Kumasi into crispy chaos

A gas explosion struck the Adum area in the Kumasi Metropolis early Wednesday, leaving four people in critical condition. The incident happened at approximately 5:50 a.m. across from the Sanbra Hotel, affecting a food vendor and her staff as they prepared meals. Witnesses described a loud blast and found the victims suffering from severe burns and other injuries when they reached the site. Emergency teams took those injured to the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital, where medical personnel are providing immediate care. The Ghana National Fire Service has launched an investigation to identify what caused the explosion.
