Sifela Brahmans from Hamden Farm in Gwanda won top prizes at the Zimbabwe International Trade Fair. They earned awards for Champion Cow and Junior Bull in their third year at the event. Farm manager Lungani Masuku called the win a change-maker for their business. He said it proves young people care about farming progress. Vice President Kembo Mohadi talked with Masuku during the fair.
The cattle also caught the attention of President Mnangagwa and Mozambique President Daniel Chapo, who visited their display area. Masuku told President Mnangagwa about running the farm on just 35 hectares of land. He explained that this limited space creates difficulties for their growing operation. The small rural farm has risen to national recognition through its quality livestock breeding program. Their success shows that excellent cattle can come from the Gwanda region.
