Simba makes a switch, Pantev exits after a rocky run

Simba SC cut ties with manager Dimitar Pantev after the Bulgarian lasted barely two months on a two-year contract that started in early October. Assistant coach Selemani Matola takes over while the Tanzanian club hunts for a permanent boss following back-to-back losses in the CAF Champions League group stage that dropped them into last place.

Pantev arrived with league titles from Botswana and Cameroon on his resume, but losses to Petro Luanda at home and Stade Malien away tanked his tenure before he could settle in. The club parted ways through mutual agreement after the rough continental start put immediate pressure on results.
