Six New Judges Sworn in to Tackle Zimbabwe's Labour Court Backlog

Six fresh judges took their oaths at the Labour Court on Friday. The Judicial Service Commission brought them aboard to tackle the mountain of work cases piling up across Zimbabwe. Court officials admit they needed more hands to deal with angry workers and upset bosses fighting over pay and job problems.

Walter Chikwanha runs the JSC and says people deserve fast answers when they bring their troubles to court. He wants every person to trust that judges will handle their cases quickly. The commission picked these six legal eagles because labour disputes keep growing each month.

Bianca Makwande feels excited about her new job and promises to work hard on employment fights. Evidence Gonesi calls his appointment a huge honor that comes with serious responsibility. Clever Tsikwa thanks the people who gave him this chance to serve workers and companies. Rodin Mzyece brings years of labour law experience to the bench.

The new team features Garudzo Ziyadhuma, Clever Garikai Tsikwa, Bianca Makwande, Motion Jaravani, Evidence Gonesi, and Rodin Mzyece. All six judges swore to uphold the law and treat every case fairly. Court bosses believe these additions will cut down waiting times for people seeking justice.

The JSC plans to spread courts around the country to help more citizens. They want to move Labour Court services closer to communities that need them most. This strategy aims to make justice easier for ordinary people to reach.
