Stonebwoy Plays Free Show to Fund Pediatric Clinics

Stonebwoy will headline a music festival aimed at raising $14 million for pediatric clinics in Ghana. The HoodTalk Music Festival, scheduled for May 9 at Accra's Independence Square, will broadcast to over 250 countries. The reggae and dancehall artist agreed to perform without compensation, demonstrating his commitment to social responsibility through his Livingstone Foundation.

Organizers praised Stonebwoy's dedication to supporting underprivileged communities and advancing healthcare. The 2025 event, dubbed the Unity Edition, will honor victims of the May 9, 2001, stadium tragedy, in which 127 people lost their lives. Festival leaders described the event as a movement connecting music, heritage, and humanity.

The concert, which will feature top artists and raise funds for critical healthcare infrastructure, is expected to attract more than 20,000 music fans. Proceeds will support the construction of five pediatric clinics in underserved regions of Ghana. The festival aims to empower youth, celebrate culture, and amplify creative voices across the continent.
