Japanese game designer Goichi Suda expressed interest in developing a title centered on the DC Comics character Peacemaker during an appearance on Future Game Show. The developer stated through a translator that Grasshopper Manufacture excels at creating visceral combat sequences, and he would like to explore inventive methods of violence beyond those depicted in existing media. Suda previously worked with James Gunn on Lollipop Chainsaw in 2012, with Gunn contributing to story development and character design for the action-adventure game.
Gunn currently serves as co-chairman and co-CEO of DC Studios alongside Peter Safran, where he oversees the expanded universe spanning multiple entertainment platforms. The executive confirmed last month that one specific gaming project generated enthusiasm, though development remains in preliminary stages.
