Superdrag brings back deep cuts at LA Troubadour

Power pop band Superdrag returned to Los Angeles after many years away from the coast. The group from Knoxville became famous for their 1996 song Sucked Out before breaking up around 2003. They have played just a few reunion shows since that time. The band performed at home and Chicago's Wicker Park Fest recently. This marked their first West Coast performances since 2009.

The band played two nights at the famous Troubadour venue during their special weekend event. They brought back some very rare songs that fans had not heard live for decades. One track called Comfortably Bummed had not been performed since 1999. Another song called I Am Incinerator was played live for the very first time ever. Both of these deep cuts appeared on a 2007 collection of rare material.

The musicians dedicated one song to Lindsey Jordan from Snail Mail who has covered their music. Jordan helped bring attention back to the track Feeling Like I Do from 2002. Each night featured different setlists with both old favorites and surprise selections. The encore always ended with their biggest hit Sucked Out. Fans who live on the East Coast can catch them at Bowery Ballroom in New York during October. Those shows happen on the third and fourth of the month.
