Prime Bank Investment PLC and Zaytoon Business Solutions conducted their first rural investment education session in Sirajdikhan, Munshiganj. More than one hundred local residents participated in the community gathering called Uthan Boithok. The companies established their partnership in February 2025 to expand capital market access beyond urban areas. Participants received training on financial literacy, investment safety, and fraud prevention strategies. The session emphasized transforming small savings into productive investment opportunities.
Company executives emphasized the importance of reaching rural communities with investment knowledge. Syed M. Omar Tayub from PBIL stated that capital markets should serve all citizens rather than urban elites alone. Arfan Ali from Zaytoon highlighted the need to bridge technology gaps in rural financial services. The program taught participants about risk management and long-term financial planning to address educational and security needs. PBIL presented its investment schemes using simplified language for first-time investors.
The initiative represents the first of many planned rural outreach programs across Bangladesh.
